Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run ETS:

• Account information — your name and email address.
• Financial information you enter — the accounts, balances, transactions, budgets, and goals you record yourself. ETS does not connect to your bank today.
• Statement imports — when you import a statement, the file is parsed in your browser and only the transactions you confirm are saved. The file itself is not uploaded to us.
• Messages you send us — such as support requests.
• Basic technical information — logs needed to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect card numbers or bank login credentials.

We use your information to:

• provide, maintain, and improve ETS;
• send the transactional emails you choose to enable;
• respond to your support requests;
• keep the service secure and prevent abuse; and
• meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run ETS, under agreements that limit how they may use it. These include hosting, database and authentication, and email delivery, and payment processing if you upgrade in future. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of people and the service.

You control which emails ETS sends you from Settings, and you can change them at any time.

We use access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, and least privilege access. Each household's data is isolated from every other. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep improving. See our security practices.

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings; after a short grace period during which you can reactivate, your data is removed. Backups are rotated by our providers on their own schedule.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can manage most of this in the app, or contact us to make a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

ETS is not intended for children under [minimum age to be confirmed], and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your information may be processed in the regions where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect it wherever it is handled.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
