How ETS protects the money information you record. This is the plain-language version of the security practices we hold ourselves to — written for everyday use, not for engineers.
ETS is not a bank
ETS records the money information you enter so you can see it in one place. It never holds, moves, or transfers your money, and it has no ability to do so.
What we never collect
ETS does not collect card numbers, bank account or routing numbers, or your online banking login. Your password is handled by our authentication provider — ETS never sees it and never stores it.
Your household's data is walled off
Everything you record is tied to your household, and our database itself checks who is allowed to read each row on every single request — not just the screens in the app. People in other households cannot reach your information.
Statement imports stay on your device
When you import a bank statement, the file is read in your own browser. Only the transactions you review and confirm are saved to your account. The file itself is never uploaded to us.
Encryption and backups
Your information is encrypted both while travelling to us and while stored. The database sits on a private network rather than the open internet, and encrypted backups run automatically.
Extra sign-in protection
You can switch on two-step verification by email in Settings, so signing in needs your password plus a code. Anyone on our staff with access to the admin tools is required to use it.
A record of what changed
Edits to your financial records are logged with who made the change and what it was, so your household can see its own history.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from Settings at any time. There is a short grace period in case you change your mind, after which your information is removed.
Telling us about a problem
If you believe you have found a security problem, or you think something is wrong with your account, email us at service@hubrisconsult.com and we will look into it. Please do not post security concerns publicly.
